ISC TRAVEL LEAGUES
In an effort to promote the great sport of fastpitch softball, we will be
promoting the formation of International Softball Congress (ISC) Travel
Leagues within the Atlantic Provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick,
Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland / Labrador.
The thought of creating an ISC Travel League has not been something that
has been considered in our regions much over the past years with the
difficulty in the number of teams that are willing to travel any great
distances to play, spend money regularly to play a good, competitive level
and be home all on the same day... The reality is that if we are to create
more opportunities for a higher level of fastball we are going to have to
look at options about playing other teams and other leagues or combining
to form new leagues such as this proposed ISC Travel League.
In this move towards associating and sanctioning teams and leagues to
become involved in the new Atlantic movement for ISC development, we are
asking any interested representatives of teams or leagues to please
contact us on how they can get sanctioned and part of the move toward
sanctioning teams to attend the ISC World and ISC II World Tournaments
that will be held each year at various host locations.
Nova Scotia ISC Travel League
The new Atlantic ISC Commissioner is now actively trying to contact any
leagues that wish to affiliate themselves as an ISC Travel League.
As well, we are suggesting that some leagues that are somewhat located in
a close geographical area may consider on joining forces to create an ISC
Travel League - improve on quality, improve on interest and get an
opportunity to travel to an ISC World or ISC II World Tournament the
following year!
