Qualifying Process
We have been working hard to try to contact teams and leagues across Atlantic
Canada in order to work on a qualifier for the 2003 ISC Championships in both
the World Division and the ISC II Division.
We would like to hear from any interested teams that would like to qualify to
attend these World Championships. Teams must meet a minimum standard in
terms of level of play. In the World Division, teams must currently be
playing in a Senior or Intermediate A Division for the past couple of years and
teams interested in participating in the ISC II Division must have played a
minimum of Intermediate A or have placed high in the Intermediate B levels in
recent Provincial Championships. We are ensuring that we bring a certain
quality level of play when we send teams to compete and represent our Atlantic
Canada Region at these championships.
Teams participating at these ISC Championships must also pay a registration fee
to the Atlantic ISC Commissioner in the amount of $250.00 USD (please use the
conversion scale for currency found on the Internet to find a Canadian dollar
amount). This fee must be turned in asap once the team qualifies to
attend. Should we have more than two teams interested in attending the ISC
Championships in August 2003, we will arrange a qualifying tournament where each
team will have to pay a registration fee of $400.00 Canadian to cover umpire
fees, field rental, softballs and trophies.
Interested teams must contact Robert Bernard, Atlantic Canada ISC Commissioner
as soon as possible. Deadline for teams applying will be Friday, June 6th,
2003 by 4pm.
Please use the contact info page to reach us if you have any questions or would
like to register your team to go.
